Elizabeth Fagan has been an ED physician for 25 years and medical director for 20. She is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services. She went to medical school at the university of Oklahoma and then did an emergency medicine residency and administrative emergency medicine fellowship at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Fagan’s passions are EMS, Education and improving patient care.
Director of EMS and Education for IES; one of her proudest achievements was partnering with Larry Bean to create BEST EMS in 2012. She loves to teach; started teaching advanced airway skills to EMS in 1998. As director of IES’ BEST EMS, she designed a comprehensive CE program. She enjoys developing low-cost procedural trainers to increase access to hands on education.
Collaborating with the McKinney Fire Department, she helped create a Fire-Based Community Health Paramedicine Program that has been recognized nationally and partnering with MISD, they won a Guinness World Record for securing the most people to commit to learning Hands Only CPR.
