
Board certified in both emergency medicine and EMS, Dr. Fagan is Chief of Clinical Education and EMS and is the Chair of Emergency Medicine at BSW McKinney. She is the Director of Beacon Emergency Services Team (BEST) EMS, which provides EMS Medical Direction and Continuing Education. Her passions are compassionate patient care, education, and EMS.
One of her proudest achievements is creating and instructing the High Risk/Low-Frequency Critical Procedures Course, ensuring that IES clinicians maintain confidence and competence in lifesaving procedures.
She and her partners in BEST EMS are passionate about Cardiac Arrest. They are the only Medical Direction organization in the country designated as a Lighthouse Community by the Resuscitation Academy. They have hosted 7 Resuscitation Academies and educated more than 700 EMS personnel in the science of cardiac arrest and High-Performance CPR. Dr. Fagan was awarded the 2023 Dr. Leonard Cobb Distinguished Alumni Award for dedication and support in saving lives from cardiac arrest.
In collaboration with the City of McKinney Fire Department she helped create a fire-based community health paramedicine program that has been used by fire departments nationwide. In 2018 in partnership with MISD, they achieved a Guinness World Record by rallying over 11,000 individuals to pledge and learn CPR during a rivalry high school football game.
