Chief Jeff Morris began his public safety career in 1984 and has dedicated over four decades to serving communities across Texas. He started in South Texas as an EMT, later becoming a paramedic, volunteer firefighter, and police officer. In 1988, he joined the DFW Airport Department of Public Safety, where he continued to expand his expertise.
In 2000, Chief Morris joined the Euless Fire Department, rising through the ranks to the position of Assistant Chief. He currently serves as the Fire Chief for the City of Portland on the Texas Gulf Coast.
Chief Morris brings a wealth of technical and professional experience in Fire Service Leadership, EMS, and Special Operations. He holds a Master of Science degree in Public Administration from Texas Tech University and is widely respected for his balanced approach to leadership and his strong commitment to firefighter education.
